    Default French revolution!

Hey, I'm kinda confused about this revolution thingy.
Could anyone tell me what to do if i want to start a revolution from monarchy to a republic?

I have a hunch i have to piss my people off, but how to do that and do i have to piss them >all< off or only my capital (Paris)?.

Also is the french republic flag blue and do my line infantry costumes change to blue too?

Sorry if this is already asked, i couldn't find it.

You need to annoy your peasant class. Tax 'em to the hilt and get lots of school stuff. Also make sure that you don't leave any troops in Paris. They should rebel, and you will want to side with the rebels. You will get the tri-colour flag (the flag of the french republic and their current flag) but your troops will not change.

Thanks for your quick reply, i'll start on it immediatly !

One more question though: Does it matter the year is only 1714? or is the year irrelevent? (You can provoke a revolution in any time of the game).

Also make sure there isn't a stack (or two) of your overly helpful Spanish allies next to Paris. I learned that one the hard way.

You could have a revolution in 1702 if you managed to tick your peasants off enough.
It is very important that you keep your soldiers away from Paris while trying to spark the revolution, or else you'll have a very difficult time taking it.
Any soldiers in the capital will fight for the current government. Soldiers outside the capital might join the rebels, or stay with the current government.

Build multiple schools in your home region (France), or focus your research on Enlightenment techs too.

haha, well 2 regiments of spain are camping paris but i guess i can't do anything about that :-) Does the pissing-the-peasants off part have to happen everywhere or just in Europe? I just chose to also higher the taxes in america too now but i don't know if that increases the speed to provoke a revolution increases like that ^^, i appreciate your replies!

It has to happen in your capital province - no other provinces have to be affected.
