    Using Realtek Hd Audio ALC882.

Got the problems after patch. However the sound works properly when I choose the "windows default sound" option in the sound menu, but all other options have poor results. I want it fixed so I can return to playing the game in 5.1 again.

X-fi extreme audio, vista 64. After recent patches the sound now stutters, or lags, for example muskets sound like machine guns, etc.

Have tried nearly all in-game sound settings, no change in problem.

Creative X-Fi "Xtreme Music", Vista 64, Alchemy may be installed but not necessarily enabled for ETW (?) and haven't really checked for a while.

    # "Phantom" musket shots heard when no-one is firing.

    # Sounds sometimes do not play and battlefield will go quiet for a period.

    # Rarely hear drummer playing from units.

I don't remember the problems having arisen from a certain patch, bought the game a week or so ago and have probably had problems since I got it. Still it's great, thanks for the hard work.

    Realtek ALC888/S/T

After patching yhe game, it somehow disables my souncard every time i run ETW. I reinstall drivers and sounds work normally on windows, but obviously cant play the game cause it disables my soundcard. On control panel, when i look at the sounds and audio settings it has all settings greyd, no audio devices or anything. This happens after launching the game.

At this point it only crashed the game itself, but now it messes with the hole system. How is this even possible?

Lots of Vista 64 in this thread I notice.... I guess Vista 64 was a little too futuristic and marty mcfly for CA to make the game compatible with.

    Creative X-FI

Delayed sounds in campaign map to missing sounds and machine gun sounding muskets in battle.

    X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro

I did not notice it until last night, but musket sounds keep going LONG after people are done firing.

I also have sound cutting out for periods of time at random.

Normally I would say Creative cards, or X-fi particularly, are having problems, but since the cards worked fine before the recent patches and since Realteks and others are having problems then its all definately related to the game.

Unfortunately it seems like CA's fix for a car running out of gas is to just turn the engine off completely... In other words I fear we won't get anywhere with their patching.
