I think thats most of them at least that i can remember but I didn't play the older ones beacuse they where 2d and I cant immerse myself in dots moving on the screen.

So any good 3d RPG's that i might have missed pls let me know.

I also recommend this. There are real RPG-gems which are in 2d. I just think about Chrono Trigger.

Agree, very cool, yet dated games. Stay away from the turd Gothic III.

I also enjoyed Two Worlds, but not many people liked it, so do a bit of research first.

Oblivion has been mentioned and it is pretty good.


Also, a combo RPG/FPS, leans more to shooter than Fallout 3: ST.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, not Clear Sky, yet at least.


As far as 2d, which man you are missing several classics by only wanting 3D:

Guys, he has played Oblivion. He called it TES4 so I overlooked it like everyone else seems to have lol.
Sadly I can't really recommend much because he's played all of what's on my shelf atm (Oblivon, Kotor 1 & 2, NWN 2, The Witcher, Fallout 3, and the shootery Mass Effect)

On the same note, you should still play Oblivion. With many mods. In fact lets just call it TES4: Mods with Oblivion as an expansion pack.

well seems ive got to go 2d anyone know where can i buy baldurs gate on the net i haven't seen it online until now ? and does the dialog make up for the 2d ?




And I play oblivion with hundreds of mods from the nexus but oblivion sucks compared to a great game like kotor or nwn2 with motb

Ohhh oh lol man are you serious kotor is one of the best games in existence obilivion is kotors and ive played oblivion 500 hours or so i played kotor at least 30 times trough.

Oblivion cant isn't even in the same league as KOTOR really man oblivion is piss compared to biowares game

Others include the huge world, the sense of atmosphere, the wide variety of enemies (and friends). I could go on. KOTOR's supposed to be made up of planets, but not once did I feel like I'd arrived on a great big world in KOTOR. The moment where you first emerge from the sewers in Oblivion, now that's what I call a world! Why do you think KOTOR's superior (apart from the Star Wars angle)?

Beacuse Kotor has immersion but what it has the most is story the movies they are compared to the KOTOR games the story is gargantuan Oblivion main quest is really olbivion is more like a single player mmo.

What i like about oblivion are the mods i have hundreds but even with all the mods oblivion is story wise now the story of Darth Revan now thats the just buy it and try for the xbox or the pc you wont regret it.

anyway OP you should try out Planescape Torment, Fallout, Fallout 2 , Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, the greates rpg games ever made.

Hahahaha. That must be why I finished KotOR about fifteen times by now, and finished Oblivion not even once.

Indeed, if you're looking for:
1. Complete lack of a worthwhile conversation system
2. Complete lack of any sense of urgency because the apocalypse will wait for you while you tour about the world
3. A background story as predictable as seeing someone walk into a brothel and guessing what will happen once the curtains close.
4. A levelling system about as deep as the kiddie pool.

Then Oblivion definitely craps all over KotOR.
