Major fragmentation of ETWs files

All of you who have these CTD's, have you tried defragmenting the Steam App files for ETW?
When I had installed ETW, on a SPANKING FRESH partition, I was shocked to see that the totally fresh partition had a fragmentation percentage of 66%

And most of the fragmentation was in the Steam Files, more specifically ETW... so I would highly recommend defragging those files. Either via the defragger in System Tools, or the one in Steam..
Rightclick the game ETW in steam, properties, local files, "defragment cache files" and after that you can "verify integrity of game cache."

If I had 66% fragmentation of ETW - after a CLEAN install.. on a brand new CLEAN partition - who knows how many bugs this level of fragmentation can produce?

Obviously CA's installer is a failure if it's conducive to these levels of fragmentation..

I'm curious, could people post their "fragmentation" percentages here?
Go to your Windows defragger first, and just do an "Analyze" of the place where your ETW files are. Usually C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApp etc...

No, this won't be the source of ctd's.
My Empire is zero fragmented, and i usually make the verification and defragmentation when i have updated ETW via Steam, to no avail now after 25th patch.

Whereas of course if the hd partitions are fragmented, a degrag is always a good thing, recommended.

Ok, well in this case my partition was empty and totally new, but had become 66% fragmented after the install of ETW.
