Default Tomarrow is the big day for me?

Ok after much research here on the fourms. I will be buying this Card tomarrow. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125256

I realize I have posted before. But it's a big perchase and after screwing up once on this build when it comes to my GPU. I really want to know that I am not wasting my cash.

How dose this card preform in ETW?

Thanks all for your help and patience with me on this issue.

Pretty well in any game not only ETW.
Wish i would have gone for 1GB version but back then no1 knew games like GTA4 etc would require near 1GB vram to play on high

I like the cooling, i myself got zalman vf-1000 installed but i especially like the cooling on vddc you got there (the black thingy on edge of pcb).
Stock coolers really blow for these cards since they tend to work 90+ c at full load which is ridiculos, i got -35c drop (full load) by changing coolers and its on silent mode.

Enjoy the new beautiful world of gaming

I use the Sapphire 4870 1GB and I run the game on all settings ultra, 1080p but no AA and I get an avg. of 30 FPS or more. Even in the most intense battles the game runs smooth, so it's a good purchase. However, I would recommend grabbing the Sapphire one over this. Because it's $10 cheaper, better heatsink and adjustable fan speed. here's the link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102801

    Edit
I actually bought the Toxic edition which at the time was the same price. It has better cooling than the regular edition and it's overclocked. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102815
But now it's going for a good $50 more.

I have the same card and it works well for me, too. I am still hoping that the patch will bring in some graphical optimization.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the Saphire brand card? I just saw this post prior to ordering, I like the ajustable fan speed? can anyone else see anything else that would make one better then the other. Compairing the one in my OP and the Saphire one listed in Epic's post?

Check http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...&enterthread=y for Monitors. I cant recommend one since I dont know what else you will be using the monitor for.

The GFX card you got is a good deal, but if it doesnt work out for some reason though there are GTX 260s for that price on Newegg (some come with Call of Duty WaW). The better card depends on which games you want to play (and if you want 3D etc.)
