I don't know if it would be ethically correct too mention the word "Jews" in this game. Despite it obviously being awesome, I mean, I could close down all these concentration camps.

I hope they fixed the deployment system. One of the things I just can't stand about HoI 2 is that if you produce a large number of things like AA Guns for instance (which it isn't hard to do), you have to place them 1 by 1 and it's just plain tedious. A deploy until full option would be useful, so if you had 80 ports, theoretically, and a province with 1/10, you'd deploy 9 there when deploying all.

That's my main gripe, if that's fixed I'll very likely get this.

Paradox's policy strikes me as holocaust denial almost. If somebody wrote a book or made a movie about 1940s Germany and left out all the anti-antisemitism and concentration camps, ever body would flip out and (rightfully so) call them a holocaust denier. But in games it's the other way around for some reason.

There's the issue of not getting the game banned in Austria and Germany, so I can definitely understand why they're handling it that way. Still, when you think about it, it's is pretty offensive to make it seem like Nazi Germany was just a normal European nation with nothing especially evil going on.

edit - but to be completely honest, I like not having to run concentration camps when I play as the Germans. That'd sort of ruin the experience for me.

Never thought of it like that. Yeah, Germany seem like a bunch of nice guys who happened to annex Austria, then demand the Sudetenland and demand Danzig and sort of just became dragged up into a war in HoI2

Which obviously is kinda bull, but I guess every countries educational system handles these things (educating about holocaust) fairly well.

the answer is in ur post. nothing to do with holocaust denial, including it would be difficult and almost certainly adds little to the gameplay for what in return? losing 2 countries to sell to, one of which is a pretty major market in europe.

and why is everyone talking about only the nazis, the japs mass murdered PoWs who were forced into slave labour - arguably they should be including that too as a sort of 'increase build pace' sort of feature if ur all wanting the holocaust too.. (not that im advocating either, see no point in having such stuff in a game)

Indeed, manpower. Curiously of all the things not represented with nukes, is the fact that nuclear hazard or fallout don't seem to be depicted. I've never tried nuking 100 cities with cheats, but I bet it wouldn't be Game Over. Similarly, the ability for units to occupy those provinces seems a bit... odd.

100 ww2 era nukes wouldnt mean 'game over' anyway in rl (if ur talking about the end of the world..ignore me if ur actually talking about just surrender and all that )

I for one am glad paradox isnt including things like concentration camps, forced labour and terror bombimg. I understand the point about including it in the period for historical accuracy, but this is a game. I wouldnt want it to be a holocaust simulator. I dont want to see pop ups saying "80,000 killed in Dresden! Bomb more civillians yes/no?".

I cant wait to play the crap out of this game. I heart Johan. Such a geek but so sexy.
