Emergent USA
I was just wondering if it would be possible (playing as Thirteen Colonies) to end up playing as America if you force a rebellion and join the American side? It is America who would emerge right?

Re: Emergent USA
i wouldn't try it. I attempted to do that myself as I wanted to play a team in America eventually the revolution folds in on itself (never occurs) or it is just the Thirteen colonies again. I discussed this with some friends yesterday and you apparently have to win the tedious Road to Independence in order to unlock them but it is only at the year 1776 or something like that and if this is correct then the other nations are already advanced by that point.
But yes beating the RTI campaign does unlock America on the Grand Campaign.

Re: Emergent USA
America can emerge in the Thirteen Colonies' territory but it's not through revolution, just general unrest (and/or bad relations with the UK). You can never become a new faction through revolution, just change government type, so you can't play as the United States in the grand campaign at any point.

Ah that sucks. Looks like I'll just have to play them in the shorter RTI campaign.

Re: Emergent USA
As I said if you beat the RTI campaign then you can use them in the Grand campaign although it is not worth it because they emerge at the time of the revolution.
It may sound like I am taking about the RTI only but beating it I believe puts America on the Grand campaign playable list.

Re: Emergent USA
Beating RtI will NOT make America playable in the Grand Campaign. The only way to play the USA on the full campaign map is the 4th chapter of RtI, which starts in 1776 and ends in 1810.
