Lost Saved Games

Hey peoples. Before the patch, I have never experienced losing any saved games, but now that the patch came out, I lost all my saved games after playing GC for about 30 minutes. I mean WTF! Isn't the patch supposed to fix those issues and not make it WORSE?! I mean now I don't want to play anymore because I was so far into the game and I am too lazy to start over.

Grr!!! I am mad and frustrated!

Are you sure it's not because the maximum amount of save games is being reached? I suddenly found myself without save games but then released that once you hit the max it won't save anymore unless you overwrite previous ones (or delete in explorer).

Well, I have a different problem with saving the game. After I load it and go to save game menu I can't see my previously saved games AT ALL, my nation's symbol is gone (well there is symbol of a different nation - instead of red like it was, it is green), timeframe is gone, there is no text like 'Poland-Lithuania year 1725' etc. - just empty space.

What is more fun, after the patch, while playing the game I realized that the sound is bugged so I quit and wanted to restart the game. Ta-da - my game doesn't start anymore. Awesome, huh?

i have the same issue, the patched game probably messed up the directoy where the savegames are. mine are still there, the game just seems to look in the wrong place or something.

edit: ah yes, i can also load the autosave, maybe it just broken in a different way

Well all my old saves are still broken. Wonderful patch this one is.

Sogui-

Start a new game and save it. Then immediately try and load. Your old saves should now show up. Worked for me anyway.

The game patched.

I load the game up.

I go the to Load Game screen.

It freezes.

I close the game using the Task Manager then restart it.

Rinse and repeat above steps to no avail.

I hit Continue Campaign.

It loads my last saved game, which theoretically doesn't exist as it can't be seen in the menu.

I go to the Load Game menu within the Campaign Map: I still can't see my saved games even they they exist as I could load my campaign via Continue Campaign.

Patches are supposed to fix a game, not **** em up even more. Useless.

No I have experienced the same issue. When trying to save I see a game screen which has no save games listed , and the flag emblems on the left of the screen are those of a foreign empire. BTW the max save games you can have are 1000. All I do is say to hell with it and hit the next turn button. Then try saving. Works for me.

I just experienced exactly that after installing the new patch last night! As you did I just clicked next turn and they all appeared again

I also have seen this issue. whats worked for me to get my save to show again. I simply hit Continue and when it loads I make a new save with a different name, and then I can see them all again.
