cant attack garriosned buildings

Hey randomly in battles I cant attack garriosned buildings. There's just a cross like when you try to get units to do something they cant. I can shoot at the garrioned guys but in melee mode theres just the cross. It's the same for all units as i tried grookas and line ifnatry. I can attck other buildings and have no artillery so i cant raze it. They just stay in the house shooting me and i have no way to attack them. is there a way around this becasue i obviously cant win the battle if I cant assult the house.

It seems the reason i coudltn even starta melee is becaue the house was full. Why you cant just go to the doors and start killign peopel to get in is anyones guess ocne the troops inside was less than the maximum number i could attrack. I just ctd'd after a battle where in klled 600 lost 200 WELL DONE CA!
