The feature with the green lines to move your army is nice. but so superslowly!
especially the move forward and backward are incredible slowly.
Is there a trick to speed them up ?

are you talking in battle or on the campaign map?
WAR IS PEACE FREEDOM IS SLAVERY IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
Press R to run? Sorry, that's the only thing I do to speed them up into formations.
Bored/Frustrated/Angry at inaccurate in game uniform?

well you could pause the game then move your troops then un-pause then make them run or do it in slow-mo....i take it your talking about the controls on the UI in the bottom right of the screen.
yes u are right! sry that i was not clearly enough.
i mean in battles- not campaign.
When u move ur army with the ui right of the screen.
In SP is the trick with pause button nice, but i mean in MP. I group my army and want them to shift in postions with the ui- but this is too slowly.
Its a nice tool to put your line in the correct direction. so i want to use it- but again.. in mp![]()
Pretty sure he means advance/withdraw commands on the UI in battles. It does take ages to use the advance command over any sort of distance!

Nah, he's talking about the move forward/backwards and rotate buttons on the battle map. I don't know of any way to speed the process up myself. What you can do, is press shift once, while holding down the shortcut and the unit will start waling, while you are still moving the green icons.
yeah mate.
well what i do if i want them to travel a large distance is press on the forward button then let go and your troops will start to move then as there going to there destination press R to make them run then press on the forward button again to finish up the placement of your troops then press R again to make them run again because they stop running after you let go of the forward button.
this has worked for me and atleast your troops are moving and not just standing still while your trying to move them to the desired position.
I'm not so bothered about the speed, so much as the way you can only use it so far. In general the advance/rotate unit buttons are very useful otherwise though. They've definitely been needed in the series for a while. They're great once your Line comes near to range with the enemy - it gives you a lot more control over group formations.

The Space Bar (no not that sci-fi pub where all the Trekkies hang out, it's the biggest key on your keyboard) is your friend.
At least we can move multiple armies/agents now, so the speed doesn't worry me too much. More time = more thinking, anyway, and this game requires a lot of thinking/planning!
Great stuff!
Edit: Realised you're talking about battles, sorry mate! Speed it up! Easy as! Or order your troops to run, but the results of that, once you get to it, are obvious!
