Steam Drydock or Naval Hospital

Can someone tell me what the benfits are of each.

Steam Drydock - gives you more units I think.

Naval Hospital - Er not sure what this does - quicker repairing maybe..

Can some one let me know as I'm about to have a choice between the two.

Playing as the Dutch if that makes any difference to anyone.

Steam: More units (steam ship, 1st rates, and maybe some others.

Hospital: Better experience at buy.

Steam is rather late so... and gives industrial unrest

The Naval Hospital is the same as the Drydock except that all units start off with experience. The Steam Drydock lets you recruit first rates of all kind as well as steamships.

once you get nice holdings in america and India, you should have one homeland drydock, one naval hospital by theater and maybe another naval hospital in the mediteranean (like marroco or malta).
3rd rates are more than enought to sink any fleet.

Steam Drydock FTW....nothing like a full stack of first rates smacking around Britain like she stole something...good times.

I have both, Steam drydock for heavy ships and a naval hospital to recruit 3rd rates etc that have good experience

Build a naval hospital as soon as you can. It will probably be at least 20 turns before you can build a steam drydock, and you'll probably have another shipyard build by then.

No sense waiting on it.
