    Default Unexplained CTD after SP 3 Installation

    The game was playing fine for days until I installed Windows Service Pack 3 -

    Now, during start-up, after the Steam Connection box I get a short white screen. The loading continues without any problems until I push the "Continue Game" button - crash to desk!


    Windows Error Message: "Empire.exe" has encountered an error and must shut down.
    What is wrong?
