What do I have to do to get France to sell me Upper Louisiana?

I've had France as my ally & a major trading partner for several turns in the final episode of RtoI. I'm presently at war with UK & just finished crushing the Iroquois. I need Upper Lou - but want to find a way to have France give it to me - rather than me take it by force.

I've offered them Upper Moosenutts & the Bahamamamas, as well as a bunch of cash - but they tell me No without even a hint of a counter offer.

Anyone found a way to buy this?

The A.I. finally cracked and gave me Spain after paying 120,000.

Is Upper Lou worth more as in population growth and regoin wealth compared to Upper Moosenutts & the Bahamamamas? if so they wont trade down, comp AI always seem to want to trade up. way up if you ask me

You can try offering them $15,000,000? I'm pretty sure it worked a while back.

All joking aside, just take it by force if you don't have the money. The diplomacy still needs to be worked out ALOT. It may be your only choice.

Im in year 1820 and with vast economic and military mite. I own Great Britain literally and am allied to Spain and France and can t figure out how to get their US territories. I wont go to war with them. I havent tried since I installed Darthmod who has adjusted some diplomacy parameters, maybe some tweaking will help in the future.
