AI doesnt send full stacks

in my game the AI never sends in full stacks i play every one of my campaigns of VH/VH and i never get thse full stack atacks that i read about on the forums can anybody explain to me why i am missing out on this? all i get are these annoying ass raids on my towns and crap

The damn Cherokee send nothing but full stacks of pissed off Native Americans at me, maybe they fear you?

The AI does send out full stacks... it is just that they send out single regiments (of artillery to boot!) as well. And usually more of the second that of the first.

funny when i attacked Mysore with my stack they sent 2 full stacks against me (one after another during AIs turn) which i defeated but wasn't strong enough to siege because of the losses and then watched Marathas take the almost undefended Mysore the next turn.

On VH they should definintely be sending full stacks.

As France, the Huron will send down a fullstack every 5 to 10 years or so, with plenty of raiding by smaller stacks at other times.

The problem I have found is you get a lot more CTD on VH as compared to H.

I hate it when an enemy faction sends a lone unit of militia far within my territories just to raid a single farm, id honestly prefer it if they fought me with a full stack, then at least id be realistic and interesting. As it is i have to go chasing them -> autoresolve battle -> GG..... needs fixing IMO

i stinks all i get is them raidng the buildings in theland and thats it, i havent ecountered cherokee yet so ill see i guess

its strange but I conquered the Persian regions that was next to Georgia and left it ungarrisoned. The next thing i know the Georgians were sending full stacks towards those regions and trying to push to India. I was Marathas and the Ottomans were allied to me so they didn't do anything that was harmful to me. Ottomans were too busy fighting both the Russians and the Poles.

on my last game as the ottomans (H/H) c.1915 i was attacked by full stacks from the following nations: Austria, morroco (they had captured the barbary states), dagestan and perisa. Most of those at the same time.

As prussia almost all the small german states attacked me with full stacks.

As britain the cherokee, iroquoi and the maltese (they sallied out before i seiged) attacked me with a full stack.

They won't always, and they like to do small raids, but often i find that after a few turns of this they will back it up with a larger force.

Playing as Britain on normal, I'm seeing full stacks frequently. Particularly from the Native Americans, but also from the Marathas, the Mughal and the Ottomans. I haven't been involved in much fighting in continental Europe, so I can speak for the behaviour of the euro majors.

In my case, the problem is not that the AI doesn't send big stacks, but rather the way it uses them. Also, the annoying issue with reinforcements. Once, I had a beautiful defensive position on top of hill, only to have an entire Native American army show up right behind me.

If your in a large territory that is under constant micro raids, it's sometimes wroth while to send a general out and build a fort, it'll give you a much greater intercept range and can be a stop gap untill you build up a large force to destroy your enemies. I find this effective against the native americans. If the territory likes you enough you can move all your garrison into the fort and just intercept anythign incoming

The safest bet is to raid the AI's countryside, nine out of ten he'll bring out his full stack from the capital and fight you.

Depends on the game. Playing Russia and being in war several different States small and big. I noticed that some natins tend to fight more aggressively and some less. Like Georgia having more than full stack troops - only sent some 1-3 unit packs for raiding. While I saw Austria sending some Big stacks in a row.

Put my cap in for the depends on the game.

In my GB VH/VH I mostly steamrolled over europe in its entirety. But in my Spanish game I;m at war with the Dutch/GB alliance who are sending stacks to my holdings in Americas (not over sea mind you, just from the Boston area and putting full stacks of navy on my trade routes. While at the same time I'm at war with the Ottoman/Russia alliance who are sending stacks against my front in Europe.

Which sorta bites because the 4 are all trade partners with each other.... So right now Im left to try and burrow my way out of europe to Indiana via a land route and attempt to try and bring in more income.
