    Default Unplayable: Campaign map flickering after loading

    Hi all

    Hoping someone here can shed some light on this problem I have with ETW because unforunately it is preventing me from playing for the last 2 weeks.

    I am running Vista 64, 4gb RAM on a Club3d 4870X2 card with the latest 9.3 drivers.

    I am running a grand campaign as Sweden. Whenever I save, exit, and load my game and come back to the campaign map, all dynamic objects with be flickering in full screen mode. Trees, units, cities. All background and text is fine. Dialogues are fine.

    I have tried every possible video mode, nothing helps. I have tried disabling AA and AF in CCC but this did not help. It definitely seems like an engine problem to me.

    I can run the game in Windowed mode, without flicker, but a huge loss in performance. The game becomes stuttery and slow.

    Starting new games is never a problem. Only when loading them I get these issues.

    Appreciate any advice or help I can get.

    I have seen this issue posted here before. From what I remember it was decided that it was a problem with the game itself. there should be a patch someday. Other then that maybe someone with a ATI card can help ya' out. I wonn't be getting my ATI card till this weekend.
