is this a bug or is this how you're suppose to see diplomacy?

if i select my faction in the diplomacy screen and i hover over another faction it gives me information and their diplomacy score towards me... except i cant see the score because it literally flashes for a millisecond. I have to take a video with fraps, go play the video and pause it to even make out what one of the values is. I'm not exaggerating when i say millisecond..

is there anyway to hover you mouse over the faction and get that screen to come up for say half a second? 3 seconds? more then a millisecond?

I don't know. I don't get the thing at all, no matter where or how long I hover.

I only ever don't get it if i hold the mouse on a boundary between two "zones" (countries?)

I've sometimes had it where it disappears right away. I'm not sure if it's because i moved my mouse or not, but it's happened maybe 5 or 6 times out of a hundred, at most.

Have you tried putting the mouse in the middle of say...russia, and not moving your mouse? If you do and it still flashes, then yeah, it's a bug for you..personally...which is odd

Let them know, if that's so =)

Other than have patience? Mine don't flip quite that fast, but there is an inherent flaw in the design of the info bubbles. I have the same issue with the character traits as they flip between the three different descriptions with no sense of timing. Sometimes they are up for 3-4 seconds, sometimes 15. I just want to see how the thing effects stars, not that the trait proves that my general has skill because I already know that my general has skill.

I hate that you can't for instance click the trait and get one steady box with all the description visible at once. That sitting and waiting for it to cycle through is ridiculous.

Started a new campaign yesterday and I dont have it now, but I got it eventually in all of my campaigns.

I cant even read the effect of some character traits because the bubble almost instantly flashes to the description.

I once saw the trade money (or something like that) of different nations by hovering the mouse somewhere, on the diplomacy button i think (i also had the income menu open). I've never seen it again and can't figure out how to get it back. But it seemed like it was a way to figure out who would be best to trade with, something that I think is important rather then just guessing.

I also hate the flashy floats for traits and all that. I think that was a horrible idea.

They would do well to lessen the cycle time between flashes or to add a combo to change it manually like Ctrl+click or smth.

well i tried it again last night and i'm just assuming it's a bug because there's NO way for me to see the diplomacy score from other nations. this isn't game ending but another blow to roleplaying. I literally hold my mouse over the factions regions and it flashes for a milisecond. even between borders does the same thing. IMPOSSIBLE to read the score without fraps.

I have this exact same problem and it started literally only a few days ago on my most recent campaign. I've tried everything from rebooting, to reloading saves and nothing works. It's a huge pain in the ass because monitoring relations with other countries was one of my favorite aspects of the game. Just one more nail in the coffin I suppose....
