What Faction Do You Consider the Best?

Other than faction discussions, I want something to disturb the fans while we continue our work towards the goal line. I and a few others are anxious to hear the fans (and the Dev's ) opinion on which faction they like the best or want to play as the most

I'm definately going to play one of the Japanese factions, I quite like Japanese culture. Jaaaapaan!
But I must admit I don't know much about Asian history besides a little bit about a Japan, which is why I'm looking forward to this mod. A nice gaming experience+a history lesson=(All Under) Heaven

I guess I'll try out a Chinese faction as well and the Mongolians, of course. I'll see!

The Kara Khitai are the faction I'd play first, despite them being cut in half. Hopefully scripts and/or buildings reflect the income they'd get from the western half of their lands. But I like Turkic factions and they're a very interesting group.

Beyond them, the Mongols are fascinating. I'm sure as I encounter factions I'm less familiar with, I'll start to play as them after getting comfortable killing them.

We will be sure to balance the Khitans to reflect their stature and influence in the region. There will also be the opportunity to 'reclaim your homeland' much the Song will have the option to try to do. Although cutting a swathe through the Xi Xia, Mongols and Jin should keep them tied up for a good few years.

No mate, the Karakhitai are listed as a faction and the Krarkhanids are not. Though I wonder how their presence will be represented, as both were around at the mod's start date. I think I recall reading that their lands would be vassals to the Karakhitai?

Probably either a Japanese clan or Koryeo. The thing is, when I play as a Japanese faction, I'd just go about uniting Japan and building my economy. Maybe an invasion of Koryeo now and then just to keep them in line. Oh well, maybe China's interesting as well (taking advantage of their weakness should the Mongols invade)

because you said you like turkic factions but the Karakhitai weren't turkic.

Hmm.... The first faction I'm gonna play is the Song Dynasty I think. Since I've seen the awesome gunpowder units Yelü Dashi created .

Personally, I would want to play as the Goryeo faction because first I am Korean and second I am the lead researcher.

But I originally wanted to play as Japan, want to slice some heads with those sexy silver blades

Actually Song, since they are the most advanced and interesting at this time. Might try the Mongols too, just to try to duplicate their achievements (without the Song being crippled by their own internal divisions).
