    Sure can each have a own view and opinion but as i said taking only one grass texture isn't makes sense to me (BTW why it's called highres grass - you haven't changed the pixel ratio Or ???) and the effect is:




    Vanilla and BG 1.0


    What we can see mainly here ??? Well i see flowers and the groundtexture but no really grass.
    So what was your point about grass again. Well the next please.

    disable Ui and make a closer view of grass.. u will see the differences

    David,good job!In DLV mod its working.Nice!
    Does the BG work in campaign battles as well or in custom battle only?I have tried both but Iv seen obviuos effect in custom only.
    Is it changing a trees or only flowers and grass?Can we see an effect on a strat map or no?

    both. But in campaign sometimes doesnt work, because bg is made for "summer" seasons, so if u play in winter battle, grass is vanilla... i had to modify even winters etc but have few time now.. next release will be even winter i think

    grass and flowers in battlefield. Trees uses a different texture from grass. Strat_map is linked to other files. BG's not editing strat map

    u have to enter not with vanilla .exe but with the artificial .bat one

    Okay I live in the United States, but our climate is not so drastically different than Europe. Here in the winter, the grass is green. In the summer, the grass is brown unless artificially maintained.

    sure but the american continent in game, has just a climate.. amazon forest climate is different from kentucky or idaho ones.. so if i make brown grass, even amazonia has brown grass etc...

    btw i dont exclude some changes in next version

    okay, thanks. This is very nice mod.

    I really like that new grass, great job!


    btw: I tried to rise the view distance in the preference.cfg (grass_distance = 500) but nothing happens ingame, just the usuall low distance; what do I wrong?
