    Default Having slow-down problem.

    Hey there.
Just started playing ETW again in preparation of R2TW and noticed that once every 10-15 minutes of gameplay my screen flashes a bit like I changed windows and the game is very slow from then on. I thought this may have been a mod affecting it (running Imperial Splendour) Then I tried vanilla and same thing. Also happening with Shogun 2. Any ideas as to what this could be?

I mean open the case and use a can of air to blow the dirt out of the fans and vents.

All normal. I think it has something to do with this background thing opening up.

It can. Have you tried shutting down everything not game related before playing? From experience, antivirus scans and Windows Updates have been the worst.

Yes I've tried that. Just stuck on what that is. Looks like it happens with M2TW as well just popping that in, but not as bad because it requires less to run.

Some use a free version of Game Booster from www.iobit.com for shutting these down and is a little customizable. Razer is advertizing their own now.
