Corrupted Campaign file

When I play the Campaign at some point I always wind up with a crash somewhere along the way and when that happens the auto save feature never lets you back in without still crashing at the same point any suggestions?

Manually save every few turns and use QuickSave Ctrl+S.

I generally use the save button at every major battle, and every couple of turns. Make sure you have plenty of disk space though!
