Two problems I recently have

HI
First of if my english is so bad please try undertand what I try to said.
so I have two problems the first one is that some day the game decide to ignore sounds at all (campaign map, battle map, agents and even introduction videos) it happends in my original m2tw, in all the kingdoms campaigns and in SS6.1 I have install.
Also at the same time that I lose sounds I also got this problem:
I can't see cities names but instead I see the names of all characters like this:

Please I will really appreciate your help its really complicate to play in this way, also I have no problems at all when I installed the first time and yes I have reinstall like 3 times all the game and the problem persist

so what do you suggest?

Ifd your copy is not English language and playing Stainless Steel, go into the sounds folder and copy all of them into Stainless Steel's sound folder. It's a language problem.

Thanks for the answer irishron, don't you know how to correct the other problem?
I'm like crazy playing without the names of the cities is too difficult

Off the top of my head, I don't know where or what they named it, but there is a .cfg file with a line in it tah says something like show settltment names and just change its value from 0 to 1.

maybe the medieval2.preferences.cfg?

EDIT1: I try it but the only lines that are shown in the file are the following:
[video]
widescreen=1
[game]
allusers=1
EDIT2: I think that the problem is not the language of the game because I have the english version of both M2TW and Kingdoms, but still thank you for your interest

Look inside their mod folder.

Try hitting the buttons on your keyboard. There are the ones for removing the flags for example. One of them will be the right one.

Just checked:
Ctrl+N is for toggling the character names
Ctrl+T does the same for settlements

Go into options, Keyboard Settings and click the campaign tab to see all of them.

Thank you gigantus but already found the preferences.cfg and configured that, also I correct the problem with the sound.
