    Default Windows 7 and ETW

I downloaded a copy of windows7 and I was thinking about installing it now because I see someone here mention they are having now problems running ETW with it. Can anyone else tell me their experiences? I am on Vista and I am getting slow battles or 8 bit pixel enemies if i turn the settings down. Also videos arent working right either.

Windows 7 won't magically solve the issues you're getting when running on Vista given that those issues are game-specific, not OS-specific.

That said, you won't have any problems moving to Windows 7.

It all depends what hardware you have - mainly GPU. I recently switched to Win7x64 from Vistax64 (dual boot) and am playing Empire without problems - for last 2 days Ive reached year 1750 as Ottomans and only thing I dont like is AI turns are getting slower and slower - last turn took 7 minutes, but its not windows 7 fault. Just if youre on Geforce download win7 drivers from nvidia web site (other option is to get drivers from windows update but i dont know how they perform with empire).

I'm working on W7 x64 and playing the Empire I didn't see anything unusual. The game lags a bit on a the campaign screen, I'm not mentioning the duel sequences (tried all posted solutions, they simply didn't work), but the battles and the rest is great.

And I love that I can play in the window mode without loosing the preference!
So finally I bought Total War: Rome 2. Regarding I payed 7.5$ for it, it's not a bad game at all!
