Default Some woefully innaccurate soldier voices

Why do some of my early 18th century colonial militia sound like 21st century Marines from Texas? Sometimes I issue an order and the unit leader will respond in a completely contemporary American twang "Yes sir! Hoo rah!".
I'm sure we'll be able to remedy this with a mod soon..just wondering if anyone else was as surprised as I was to hear it in game.

I think its amusing Id bet anything they added it in for the humour.
I wonder if one of them says "Yee-haw, Look at the size of my bullets!" as an easter egg

Hah.. The Swedish voice acting is ridiculous. Sounds like a teenager shouting with breaking voice.

    Infanteriiii!

Yup, basically don't take everything in ETW seriously. I mean, just look at the duel videos, ancilliary descriptions and the like.

You think that's bad, when I click on my artillery they say "highlanders" in a scottish accent

It's comical when you hear some of them sound like their names could be Bubba or Cletus or Cooter & go charging making that whooping noises (no offense to anyone named Bubba, Cletus or Cooter).

Lol same here. I've heard that and was like umm... I don't think they're highlanders. I also wish the black watch had bagpipes. I mean they're an elite unit so at least give em the bagpipes for moral bonuses.

You should hear the swedish voices
When they shouts the swedish equal to fire at will "låt helvete braka loss"(Let hell brake loose pretty much), whoever did the voice acting make it sound like he is at the toilet trying to press out a big one.
I just can't stop laughing everytime I hear it.

    O.o amsterdam already is a multi-cultural city!
I swear I can hear some Turk say "Kewapende Burkers"!!

(wich is supposed to be "Gewapende Burgers" = armed citizens if i'm correct... It doesn't sound like a real dutchmen to me )
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!

Hey it's pretty awesome when I tell my Americans to go into melee and one of them shouts "Woohoo!!"

And don't forget the description of the Commanding Cannons trait. "This man knows how to shoot his load!"

This is nothing new. Remember the voice for Carthages video in RTW. The guy sounded like he was kicked in the balls while someone was trying to rip his vocal cords out.

I must give CA credit for atleast going for the more authentic voice-over instead of the american voice that has been in the previous games.

The 'Highlanders' thing and the fact that all factions' line infantry occasionally refer to themselves as 'colonial' is more of a problem than tongue-in-cheek Yank voices.

hahaha, yeh you are right about the colonial thing....you would've thought that they'd at least get some variety in their unit acknowledgements.

A regular line infantry recruited in Europe would NEVER call themselves Colonial Line of Foot......it'd be a total disgrace for them to even wear the uniform after that....they were called regulars for a reason....why they didnt use that one to distininguish between real colonial recruited troops and regular units is beyond me...
