    Default Duelling in battle map

Is it possible to add new units that contain only officer with a pistol? If yes maybe we can replicate the gentlemen duel in the battle map.

CA you have done a great job so far, keep up the good work!!

Why there is no German-Axis FPS game?
Thank You for the rep+ given!

I think its possible to change a unit's number, as well as the weapon it carries.. But still I don't think it will look much like a duel since soldiers act much differently than dueling on the battle map :/
Good idea though.. could be possible

We can also have sword duel with the officers actually because they carry sword.

I've tried to have a unit with only one man in it, but I don't think I'm doing it right. Always comes out with more than just one man.

if anyone figures it out though, would be cool, especially for movie making.

ha ha, never mind, it does work with the patch editor. I used line infantry, changed unit size to "1" and removed the entry for standard bearer and drummer. The result was a 1 man unit, just the officer. However, this man does not have a pistol and is only armed with the sword. The resulting "duel" was mildly entertaining, even if a bit all over the place. I was happy to see my namesake slay his enemy, however.

It's done by editing patch.pack with the pack editor. Specifically unit_stats_land under DB. Just change units number to one, and remove the standard bearer and drummer. However be sure to back up the original, as trying to restore the unit back to 160 didn't work. Saving the patch with all relevant fields restored left the unit with still only one man. It's a mystery.

Tired but still standing proud, our officers honor is satisfied and the rumors of cowardice that were brought against him have been laid to rest.

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.

Our hero, buoyed by great confidence and startling good looks, (and 60 melee skill, 45 defense, and 25 morale) nearly succeeds in routing an entire unit of Austrian Grenadiers.

And then he died to grenades. His still form, lying mangled by shrapnel and with blood seeping from his many wounds, is too hard for good hearts to look upon and thus has been censored.

Totally awesome, if I am honest, this will be by FAR the most moddable game of Total War series, jsut like CA said.
So far I believe we've yet to come by a hardcoded limit, we can have 3*10^8 turns per year, we can make units of 1 person, we can make units of 5000 soldiers, this game is incredible

According to a quote from CA I saw somewhere round here there are supposed to be no hardcoded limits.

LOL i ought to try that lol i have been modding a lot in thsi game by the way people modding naval units is kinda bad because unlike land units if mod a naval unit and go to a saved game and click the unit edited (he has to already have existed before the edit of that unit like my 2nd rate) then the game freezes so yea ....and you know whats more epic i made m ypolish winged hussars kinda like your one man army but with 3 units and 100 defence and attack skill also if you guys want to edit a unit's speed in battle heres a pic how i forgot who found this but im glad he did well hopefully you guys made your own mod.pack if not you should but if you want just go to db and go to battle_entities_table and their should be walk speed run speed and charge speed it was in the main.pack for me and i impored it to my mod.pack so
