Graphics issue! (Screen flashing random shapes etc.)

Hey all, after looking around google and this site for a bit i haven't found anyone else with the same issue as me or how to fix it. Every time I load up a game this happens -

The screen flashes and goes crazy and lags a ton.

This is my comp,

quad Q6600
ATI 3600 series graphics card - Drivers up to date
4gb RAM.
Vista 64

I had weird graphics issues when I was using 182.08 geforce drivers - changed to other version - problem's gone. I know you have Ati, but it may be : 1)drivers; 2)overheating. When I was playing on those 182 drivers I checked my temps with evga precision and all those artefacts showed only at 60C and above, so I used RivaTuner to speed up my GPU fan so the temps never went above 59C and the problem was..almost... gone. But you should check different driver OR maybe someone with ati has better idea.

Hi. I have nvidia gtx 260 and get the same sort of crash.
I was using 182.09, changed to 182.06 and got the same.

It crashs 5 mins or so after starting campaign. I dont always get a crash like the picture, sometimes just freezes with no artifacts on the screen.

Could be overheat or power issue. Did you overclock your GPU??
