Movement speed for various units
Does anyone know if it is possible to mod movement speeds for certain units so that lightly armed peltasts the like are noticeably and significantly faster than say heavy infantry?
It gets kind of annoying when peltasts can't really outrun heavily armored and armed enemies, as in many historical battles that was exactly what they did.

Re: Movement speed for various units
For that you will need to modify the specific animation files with Verc's animation editor. (animation such as LIS_Run_01.CAS or similar..) For that you will need to extract the animations, edit speeds and then pack the animations again. Verc's anim editor should be somewhere here in the TWC. Try checking the Total War Eras modding tools forum.

Re: Movement speed for various units
No easy text editing fix to change how fast a certain unit runs? I don't care if the animation looks weird (or weirder than usual haha), I just want them to move a bit faster.
I guess it's the same for cavalry eh? I thought some mods had cavalry move a lot faster relative to infantry than vanilla.

Re: Movement speed for various units
There are a few speed settings you can use in descr_model_battle_txt without messing with the animations. Take a look at the skeleton lines for the units you want to change. For most skeleton types there are several speeds available like 'fast', 'semi-fast', or 'slow'. I think most of the skirmishing units are set to 'semi-fast' so you could try using 'fast' instead.
The 'fast' version is really fast though - even light cavalry will take a while to catch up with them.
