its quite sad they released the game so .....buggy
Yeah that true. but in the GAming biz sometimes it down to what money talks louder. like if the DEvs say it not ready to go but then the Publishers say give them a deadline. In that case the Dev's have little choice other then release and then do patching. Bottom line it all about the money and little about the Gamers anymore.

It's very sad.. But I guess that's how things have to be done in these hard financial times..

Looks like you'll have to just sit it out with us, in hope that they even remotely care that over half of us can't even play it properly or get so far only to get screwed.
Would be nice to know what they're thinking or even contemplating on doing, along the lines of this specific problem that is.
Don't know if this'll work for you guys but I fixed my Campaign Map lag almost completely by changing my Nvidia driver to 182.06. That's the 32-bit XP version by the way; I don't use Vista so I don't know about that. I had previously been using the beta version 185.20, but it still lagged quite a bit when mousing-over any item of interest (i.e. flags) that brings the text tooltips up. After using 182.06, my lag is almost gone completely and smooth enough to actually play now! Don't forget to +rep me it works for you too.

Oh, common! It has nothing to do with financial crisis. Its how PC games industry works for couple of years now - if not since beginning. The best example would be GTAIV: Rockstar sold millions of copies of console version so they had money, the only reason why they released beta as final PC version were Christmas and hope for higher sales:/ It;s all about money - no matter if its crisis or not.
I will give it a try, but I would like to know if you tried forceware 182.08, because they are the worst drivers for Empire and are very close to .06 in numbering, so im a little bit afraid if it wont be lost time - reinstalling and all.Originally Posted by Hermes33
Yeh I hear that 182 driver is supposed to do a real good job, wont work for me though as I'm Vista![]()
