    Default Can i make siege towers and rums recruitable?

    can i?? i mean make the siege towers and rums like the ballistas with crew?

    and if i can would i be able to attack a city without waiting a turn?

    Dont thing that you can make rams or siege tower recruitable, but what you could do is change the details of the onager in the EDB so you could build it earlier or cheaper then you can attack a city without waiting. Why climb over a wall when you can smash it to bits

    I wish Seige towers were designed like they're SUPPOSSED to be, with Battering Rams installed at the bottom.

    Well , maybe ou can skin/model it so that it looks like it has a ram , but it wouldn't function as both a ram or a siege tower

    Btw , i have never heard of a siege tower that's also a ram Ofcourse i don't know much about history , but still ..

    Yes, certainly. I made it before.... but I no longer remember how Perhaps it can be done by changing the class

    Hey, you could even use a ram to defend the town square!


    This was a glitch I got in ExRM playing as Epiros.

    ExRM is the Extended Realism Mod, a submod of RTR PE 1.9, currently maintained by Quinn Inuit. But, as I said, this was just a glitch, not something he intentionally added.

    I think you'll proably have to make an entrance in export_descr_unit and exort_descr_building .. Maybe also in Descr_model_battle , but there's a chance it's already in there ..

    Open descr_engines.txt. Notice it contains the models for both artillery and siege equipment. Therefore, the first step is to copy, paste and rename the onager/ballista entry in EDU, and replace the engine with the relevant entry from descr_engines.

    Then you'll have to tweak the attack value, stats etc. The ram should be easier, since it is an attack vehicle, but the siege towers/ladders may be more complex. Or perhaps not. This is all speculation from the text files, I haven't actually tried it out. But I imagine it is not too difficult.
