Just downloaded it but i can't get it to work when it opens it just says: critical error! and then shows nothing in the window. Also i am not sure what to do with the CONFIG file. Could someone please help me with these? Sorry I'm new to this kind of stuff
When you have downloaded the file what do you do with the other 2 files (CONFIG file and application extension). Thanks

used to work for me, just redownloaded the mod manager and now i am getting the same critical error. does the modmanger write itself into the registry? is there maybe a faulty key from my previous installation?
edit:

Hey guys.
I have a problem, too and after hours of research i can't find a solution.
Empire: Total War starts great with the Desktop shortcut, but with the modmanager a black screen appears, it loads for a second and then Empire Total War crashes with the standart .exe dont work message.
With mods or without mods everytime with the same ending.
Btw: I'm running Windows 7 64bit and I have tried to reinstall it 2 times.
Can anyone help and/or have the same problem?

erhm this is kind of a wierd question but, when i try to innstall the mod manager it can`t seem to find the ETW-exe by itself. and the thing is. i dont know were it is either plz tell me were it is. PS. i use windows XP.
seems to be not adding ";" at the end...config says..."EmpireTotalWarPath"...I don't use "Warpath".
Is it possible to get an update of this mod? This 1.5 version seems not to work anymore. Still checking my system. But when I load up the mods...they don't appear in game.

Ah, I'll rest now, yes? The endless dream calls to me... but before I close my eyes, I must know - what will become of my children? They were madmen before I found them and freed them from the prisons of their own minds... *sigh* and with my death, madmen they again will be. It's not what I believe. It's what I know.
Hey, for some reason, a .pack file that I enabled via the Mod Manager a while ago now doesn't want to disable itself. It shows up when the "Show all pack types" and "Show vanilla conflicts" boxes are ticked, but when none of them are ticked (and thus you can enable/disable things) the mod isn't showing up. Any solutions, other than (perhaps) deleting the file entirely?
See the above on the RIGHT HAND side; make sure you un-check the 'SHOW ALL PACK TYPES'. This should reveal your check-boxes
Note that this software requires the .NET Framework 2.0.
My Mod Manager 1.5 seems to be organizing files strangely: Hollowfaith's music mods and Magnus72's uniform mod are labeled under "show all pack types" as patch packs and movie packs, respectively - and not as mod packs.
However - and here's the kicker - they ALL show up when "show all pack types" is UNchecked, as if all the patches and everything else in the data folder were mods.
Thanks for any help.
I can't get the mod manager to work, when I load it up I get an error message sayn unhandled exception has occurred in your application. Could not load file or assemble Common Verson=1.0.0.0. Culture=neutral. PublicKey Token+null' or one of it's dependencies. The system cannot find file specified.
ohh thanks i was so stupid that i didnt even had a mod thats why it was emty haha thx guys u are the best

Okay real bad problem here this is something i have to get off or at least get control of again.
The mod manager has unchecked all mod boxes, yet still the new sounds remain as does the mod smoke effects.
Mods used: ( mod_BSM_4_1_Light_1_5.pack ) ( mod_NoTrails.pack )
( mod_BSM_4_1_medium_1_5.pack ) ( mod_BSM_4_1_Full_1_5.pack ) ( fifesndrums.pack )
( WeaponFX.pack ).
Also removing these files makes the game crash and not being able to run, its been so long since i messed with any file that i don't know whats what. It is very importent to me that any info is appointed, it would be most helpful.
Thanks

ROME 2 TOTAL WAR FTW!
I get this error every time I try to use a mod. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do?
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I just got the same error tantaluss Dont know whats going on.
