Default The Mod Community - A nice place to be!

Just wanted to say thanks and express my gratitude to the mod community as a whole.

I mean, just over two weeks and we have about ripped this game into little pieces ready to be reassembled in a manner more fitting to each of our playing styles.

I am glad I decided to join up and contribute and not just troll for cool mods.

Yep. This is a great community and I see some awesome mods coming for ETW.

I only wish I could contribute but my modding skills = epic fail.

fraty, m8, with the great tools released anyone can mod. just follow the instructions and you will be making your own units in no time... i finally fixed the russian line infantry... thank goodness and i am making a larger artillery battery for russia as we speak... i am basically just retexturing the howitzer and giving it two more guns to each battery.

Well its kind of annoying because everyone is doing their own things and not making mods. And there arent any mods that the modders are displaying in the new empire dl section, so yea.....Just armies organizer stuff.
Not everyone is good with hex stuff, I can't dl it for some reason (superbly annoying)

    Well, it's early.

The velocity of progress so far speaks very well of what we will be doing in the next few months and beyond.

And if we get a dev kit from CA, there will be a wealth of base knowledge already gathered and practiced by the mod community.

Well said OP. After five days of installation troubles, patching, seeing no Naval AI invasions and being able to play on VH/VH without having my arse handed to me on a plate I had been feeling distinctly underwhelmed by ETW. A game that I have been longing for since stumbling across a screenie of a naval battle many moons ago.

Then I read the mod forums. You guys have filled me with hope. I have no technical abilities, and fear of messing up the original files means that I still have not installed a mod. But with this script file and a possible mod manager coming soon I feel confident I will be able to combine the slow down mod, the combat overhaul mod and the battlefield smoke and blood mod into one beautiful little game with no fear, and with apparent ease. And these are only the inital mods!

Thanks to all the modders, you efforts are appreciated. The optimism and enthusiasm with which you go about modding is truly inspiring.
