    Icon6 Graphics issue?

Ok. I havent found a thread for this problem so i`m starting a new one. I dont know how to take a screenshot so i`m gonna explain what the problem is. There are some lines appearing on the textures of almost all units in a battle and even on the units on the campaign map (armies and naval fleets). These lines look like wrinkles. The problem is constant in battles and in campaign map, when turning the camera in battle the wrinkles may desappear for a second but turn it a little bit more and there they are again. I dont know if this is a bug or its caused by some graphics settings. I have a 9600GT with 181.22 drivers. I`m playing on 1024x768 with almost everything on high except grass and shadows which are on medium; 2x AA; bloom, fog, depth of field and heat on. Please help! If someone tells me how to take a screenshot ill post it.

Is the resolution by which you play the game on the same as that set as standard (best) for your display? If not, try match the former to the latter. If this doesn't work, all I can think of in your case is to fiddle around with the video settings in the game, and/or those in the control panel for your graphics card. Make sure that when you enable ony type of setting in the game you disable that type of setting in the control panel of your graphics card (i mean set it at "Program controlled" here), or vice versa, otherwise one can imagine problems arising from conflicting signals.

    Hi.
You must play in your monitor native resolution!
If this 1280*1024 you need change in game resolution. No 1024*768
    Fonts will be clear.

    But too small

Thanks guys ill try 1280x 1024 and post if there is any change, but the monitor is a 17" CRT so both resolutions should be played well

Ok guys i`ve tested the game on 1280x1024 and the problem was still present. I also tried to desable the HDR and the Volumetric effects settings - to no effect. Here is a screenshot to see what exactly is this graphics issue:

Nevermind i got it. Its the "Hardware shadows" thats fixing the problem. I had it turned off, now that i turned it on everything is fine.

Hardware shadows makes many of the shadows in game look a lot smoother. I first saw this during a naval battle, shadows was awful, so I tried turning on the hardware shadows option and voila, the shadows looked great. Most of them look a lot better now.

Hmm. even with Hardware shadows on the shadows in my game still look jaggy.

I have the same issue with terrible shadows.

They are blocky and jagged, unless viewed from particular angles.

I also get the object rippling the OP was talking about, I will try hardware shadows, but I know that won't fix my jagged shadow problem, maybe just the rippling effect.

Anyone figures this out, let me know!
