sound is not working

my sound is not working on the game medieval 2 total war. so i require assistance from anyone who can help. I think it started when i took out my data/sound. ANd when i put it back in it still isnt working it is kind of frustrating and annoying

You can try to delete the two event files in the file folder and let the game regenerate them. If that doesn't work, you'll have to reinstall the game.

You took out your sound? Sound what? Try and install sound drivers which are compatible with your computer or the reinstall.

i have medival 2 total war one and i took out the data/sound for a mod and when i put it in the sound somewhat works but not on the the menu or battle map
