battlemap resolution

my problem:

normaly i could use 1024x640 for battlemap resolution. but i dont why after reinstalling m2tw with all patches and kingdoms, i could only set 1024x756 or higher.

any idea how to fix this?

Minimum resolution on the box is 1024x756. Someone said you can edit the medieval2.preferences.cfg but I don't know if it works.

Try it at your own risk. When you do, make it read only or the game will rewrite it on you.

before my reinstall, i could choose it in the optionsmenu. editing cfg doesnt work
