game currently unavailable

am feed up have payed for the game, installed it and just cannot get it to run..............iv been told its a steam issue.......please anyone help anything i can do

i am yetto start the game!!!!!!!!!!!! i had the demo from the release on staem and even that never started so i purposely went out and payed for the full game assuming this problem would be gone but NNOOO@!@!!@ never been so angry with a purchase in my life

please anyone ouut there who has managed to fix this issue??

As far as I can tell, at random points the game looks for a connection to Steam before it runs. I had this happen last night, in fact. Every once in a while my wireless internet connection dies, and last night this happened to me. I couldn't get the game to run until I reconnected my system to the Internet, and the game, like a baby that just got it's warm blanky, decided to cooperate again. :/

That's pretty pathetic, though the Steam-mongers out there will likely expect you to bursh it off.

Out of interest, do you run Steam in offline mode? Because offline means offline as far as I know.

How do you set it up to run in offline mode in the first place? I can't find any setting in Steam for this

this is my first problem with Empire after 2 weeks of no problems but it is VERY annoying. Why should steam decide whether a game I payed for is available or not?

*edit: just went to offline mode and there is no problems *
