That's a very stupid video. In reality most Arabs are easily accepted into White society. If most Americans really treated Arabs like that, there would be Arab ghettos everywhere. But there aren't. Arabs live with White people, work with White people, marry White people, and are often considered White (there is no Arab marking on the census). I'll admit they get singled out on security lines at the airport but big deal. Most Arabs would rather live in America where they are free than in Libya or Algeria.

But there's a big difference here in the Netherlands. Arabs/Berbers are concentrated on their own neighborhood (not really a ghetto).

I think it was a well done movie, he managed to convey his point humorously and without (imo) going overboard. AKA movie was funny without being offensive to white Americans.

    great vid

I'd say this sums up my opinion well enough.

Yeah most Arabs who dress and act like him are considered White and readily accepted. It's only the ones who wear Turbans, and kind of scream their theological/ancestral differences that people actually, you know, take note of. Otherwise no one is going to ask you your religion, where your from, or really care. I found the prophet mohommad joke funny, and the white guy looking smug, knowing what hes done. Otherwise a fairly dumb movie.

Edit: And why cant more immigrants change their names? No offense, but honestly, they're too damn hard to pronounce in the English language. At least go by something easy to say.

Into what? Jaguar Paw? Bear Claw? Night Wolf?

begs the question if the sikh community in america noticed any public angst misdirected at them due to the lack of an understanding of the multitude of cultures in modern USA by the general public.
Yeah, my 7-11 boss is a Sikh who always wears a turban and everybody think he is an Arab and Muslim.

We worked together. Do you want to know what we did?

As far as the assimilation bit I agree with what you say most of the time. As far as name changing goes though, sometimes its the only thing back from the old country you got left. Plus, with all these English speaking Emilio Galvezs and Antonio Spenellis out there, why should we have to? I dont know, I just wouldn't feel good with a name like George, Jason, or Mike. Its just not me. And if I have a son here, they are still going to have the same crazy slavic last name as me.

PS instead you should get on the hippies for naming there children things like Aquarius and Fountain (yeah, I met someone named Fountain).

he said education........did you guys hear that?
Education lifts the cultural barriers.....I hope this gets into the minds of racist minded forummites.
"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

In all fairness, that's probably because the Arab population is so small, statistically.

Unless your family is recent its population probably extends 100,000+, so you really have no authority in saying that unless you actually did extensive research...

Okay, so long as you know that it's utterly meaningless in discussion.

Wow because that is utterly disrespectful.

Not really, there are about 1.5 million Arab-Americans. That's pretty large. The only reason you don't notice it is that most Arabs integrate very well.
Perhaps it's my education, but I can spot an Arab and recognize the language pretty quickly. And 1.5 million out of 306 million is not large. It's .4 per cent.
