Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.

Don't think so, that statement has been discussed in ltchambers package manager thread much by now.

And now there is also an official thread in the Forums somewhere. So its getting its attention.

    Yes. But not only that.

There is no need for the user to unpack anything. I also recommend taking a look at the lower quote in this post.

The stuff about how you can add to database entries without touching those present single files therein was also very interesting.

That basically means you can, for instance, add whatever... err... Swedish ninja warriors without messing with the entire units file, but simply by adding a small file containing the Swedish ninja warriors.. no?

Yup. Youput a little snippet with your units in a separate db file into the same folder as the original, and the engine sticky-tapes it to what is already there.

At least, that's what the text says.

From what i've read, and i know little of such things, it sounds a good system. i suspect they'll release tools which will make it alot easier to include new units etc (no more editing binary db files!) .. less stress ... less worry - nice front end that creates / edits / saves your own, seperate Mod pack which is last loaded meaning no interference with game updates / patches etc.

But i'm not familar with how it will work with stream? (not being a steamer)

i just hope the tools they'll release will also make it easier to create maps, trade routes, politics, diplomacy etc etc. I like the Sea trade routes so much i was think of moving it to land! and have land units raiding land trade routes etc? i wonder if that's possible? or does current land trade have a similar setup?
