How can I hide bhind an object?

I am playing with Ottoman. I try to attack Georgia in 1703. I attack with 2Horseman 1swordsman and 2gunman. Georgia defends with 1gunman, they hide behind an object and beat me with 1 gunman.
What am I doing wrong?

Use your units more effectively.

Line up your line infantry next to each other, approach their line directly. Get a single volley of gun fire and then charge for melee. At the same time, route your Calvary around to their flanks and hit em from the rear.

I will try, but their units are much more superior than mine. I can't understand loosing an open battle 6units against 1unit. I must be doing something terribly wrong.

By the way is there any special way to ambush behind an object? Is there any special move for that?

Nope, if you have Calvary you should have the battle won. try to time your rear Calvary charges to be in concert with your line infantry charge. You should break the units morale, route them and then mop em up with your horses.
