More information on region-restriction for those living in Asia

I read on the steam website and on various forums that there is a high likelihood that Empire Total War purchased overseas will not work for those living in Asia. Well, I purchased the Special Forces Edition from game.co.uk, and got it registered successfully on Steam. I live in Korea, so while it might not work for those living in other areas in Asia, I hope this could give some hope for those who want to buy the game, but is not available in their country.

it is available in singapore, i been playing for the week. steam sucks even when it does work.
