    Default Camels makes horses retarded?

Tried playing as the ottomans in the GC and I built some Camels. Scaring horses, cool I thought but oh so much fail it was. They engaged a regiment of horses but the regiment starts running away. When they have run for a bit they stop so my camels catch up but they run away again and do that over and over. The ugly thing is that my camels are loosing more men everytime they catch up. This happening for anyone else?

this has nothing to do with camels vs. horses but rather the ai moving its troops.
ive battled camels with my cavalry and you just get that "scared by animal" or something on the info for the unit, they dont run off.

Well maybe they changed the camels in ETW, they don't have an attack bonus but just scare away horses. And scaring away obviously doesn't kill you and when the enemies horses have better stats than your camels, they will kill your camels whenever they meet.

Hm, okay, the Dudes explanation sounds much better

The only reason i have not had this problem during my own Ottoman campaign is simply because i didnt train the damn camels.

Like in M2TW i expected the camels to statistically suck compared to cavalry and what a surprise, they do...

The only advice i can give you is not to use these guys unless you have nothing better available.
