will this run the game? issues with athlons

what will this run at, or will it even run it at all?

AMD athlon x2 5400 Brisbane 2.8ghz (Black edition)
Sapphire 4870 1gb

people say the athlon x2's are not utilizing both cores, does anyone else have this problem?

it will run it. How good the cpu will preform.. thats another matter.

But i havnt had any hands on experience with AMD cpus while running this game.

My last x2 was 3800. I know they AMD has drivers so programs will better utilize the cores.

Well I use a AMD Phenom II quad Core 920 2.8Ghz . other then my craptastic GPU it run real nice on the AMD chipset.

However I do believe the the 64 Chipset and the Phenom are totally different in they way they run. Someone can correct me if I am wrong here, My Old chipset was the AMD 64 Quadcore 5000+ Black, and it did not preform so well in ETW.

yeah, i have an am2 slot on my mobo, and i dont want to get a new mobo, i am pretty sure the 1gb 4870 will be fine, hey and if you are interested in upgrading your card, the 1gb 4870's are only like 175 now on newegg, and they should be dropping in april when the 4890's come out, thats when i plan on getting mine. im hoping it will be like around $130-150

I am definatly going to get a new Card next wednesday "payday" I have been looking at the 4870 1gig on Newegg or the Geforce 260 1 gig.

But I am really liking what I hear about ATI so will prob go that route. Then when new car gets here the 9500GT is Skeet soo PULLL

which one you looking at, the sapphire? yeah the only thing nvidea has going for it right now is physx, but ati is coming out with there own.
