STEAM login is not working!!!!

What is wrong with steam today? me and a lot of friends CANNOT connect to steam, only we can put name login and password and a lot of minutes for nothing.

Anybody knows this issue?

I actually had the same problem today - i ran the steam installer again, it set itself up in the same directory and didnt need to re-download anything. Worked fine after that.

It is somewhat worrying that in my case at least it was clearly a problem on my end - here's hoping it wasnt accountable to malware or anything.

One thing I don't understand is why people are not running steam in 'offline' mode.

• you don't need to be on the internet
• you don't need to 'connect to steam'
• you just run steam offline and the game will load as usual

UNLESS you want to play MP, the only reason to run steam online is to check for updates. I do that periodically. Otherwise I run steam offline all the time.

wonder, look man im with a group of friends on MP and i have a lot of games online and chats, and if i don´t want play offline its my trouble ok? thanks

Because we don't want to have to enable and disable offline mode when we want to play something like TF2.

try renaming/deleting SteamRegistry.blob if it is related to Steam connection/downloading
