Default Does anyone know about the English Civil War team doing it again for ETW?

    Like the title says.

I was playing yesterday and I though "Bloody Hellfire, the English Civil War! Why don't we have this as a mod?"

I looked, and lo and behold, there is one for MTW2. Unfortunatley, I do not own that game, or any others before ETW (I followed the series, never brought one, can't remember the reason, but I had one)

I'm just wondering if the guys who made this will do it again with the new game. It could work better, and be a lot more in-depth.

I assume they play ETW, I mean, if they like the series enough to do a full mod, they're bound to be playing this.

    Any news/thoughts/comments/answers?

I believe For King or Country is nearly a one-man project, and I know that that one person has clearly stated he will not buy ETW because of Steam. I'm sure he had several other contributing team-members, but he made the maps and units and designed the mod and was the main driving force behind it, so "Empire: For King or Country" seems unlikely. FKOC totally came out of nowhere to be quickly completed, however, so maybe that will happen again.

More likely than anyone making a good, expansive, historically accurate Thirty Years War mod, for any game

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.

That would be good news, because he seemed to be capable of getting a lot of work done on a mod quickly, which is rare. But the last I read from him, before the game came out, was him saying he was refusing to buy it because of Steam. Not a very good reason imo, but a not unheard of one.

I helped with some of the historical research on FKoC, and there were a few others helping too, but really it was all Alphadelta. AD did state that he wouldn't be getting Empire and because of real-life issues he didn't even have enough time to push out 2.0 of FKoC.

But, I have seen him on the Empire forum and I thought I read a comment from him that seemed to indicate he may have broken down and got a copy of E:TW. So perhaps given time he may decide to revisit the ECW.
