Ahh yes the old bait and switch strikes again!! You didn't think the Colonies actually needed your help with the Native Americans did you???, didn't you think it odd that they didn't help you one bit in your combat engagements? All the while acting like the little sheep needing protection?

You see it's obvious to me that the A.I. is actually much smarter than we all thought, they were just making it look like they were nice, friendly and weak...then they have you use your resources up in a contrived war, and then once you are weak in that region WHAM!! they declare war.

Sorry no pics. Nothing to show. I don't expect them to win.

I did try to reload and avoid it as it makes no sense to me. It took 3 tries to avoid it. But, they decided a turn or 2 later to go at it again. So, I guess I am stuck with the war. It hurts the economy as well, obviously.

Perhaps by the end of the game, I will become Catholic and ally with the Spanish and the French.

Btw, they are still listed as a protectorate; AND I still have the mission of capturing Georgia, the Cherokee territory, and New France to cause the 13 Colonies to become mine.

Anyways back on topic... are you sure it was the Yanks who declared war on ya and not the 13 colonies... as they can exist at the same time .. .which I felt funny when it happened in one of my games...

The Cherokee took Boston.. and it revolted and U.S was born... The 13 colonies promptly declared on them and That had me in stitches ...

I'm from the US and I love the UK. I find their history to be much more fascinating than ours.
