Default Please help - know what these errors mean?

Hi all, having a few issues with a favourite mod I like to play.

The system log files reports this error right at the end before it CTD's.

    12:16:35.445 [game.script.trigger] [trace] Trigger <loyalty_check9> fired
12:16:35.859 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.

There are also numerous other errors within the log file which are listed right at the top. There are too many to paste here but I just wanted to know the relevance of these, and could these be responsible for the crash during the AI turn. They follow the common theme as listed below:-

This is one of the crash causes: you have either the wrong descr_mount.txt file, or your modeldb file is missing the entry for those horses (mounts).
    Guess it is the first.

General: lines with [warning] are non critical errors. They can cause weird things to happen but usually don't crash the game.
Lines with [error] are critical and need your full attention.

Thanks kindly! I will pass this info on to the devs and hopefully we can resolve it.

If memory serves correct, those Mount_Adv_English_Armoured_Horse errors are not fatal. If I had to venture a guess, there is a character running around without a name and when a trigger fires on him, it will CTD...but I could be wrong...

aaaahhh. I don't suppose you would know how to find this character and what we could do to prevent/fix? This has been a major problem for us and it spoils what is in my opinion anyway, one of the best mods for the game.

I will just add that the errors appear to be totally random - I have played 120 turns into this latest campaign, but before that, I got to about 1420 before it crashed. So there doesn't appear to be any particular pattern to this, and it is most frustrating when you spend literally weeks play testing to get this far.

Well like I said, it's only a guess...but I believe The Darth Ages is based off of the Long Road, or am I wrong? The point being I know the Long Road had issues with blank names that were the likely source of a lot of end-turn crashes. I would double-check the pertinent name files to ensure the entries are in the correct form.

Yes you are correct - I do remember the crashes too when I was playing TLR. But if I recall correctly they were put down to the Blood, Broads and Bastards file, although I could be wrong.

So if you are correct, and they are blank names, is there a thorough way to check? I have just toggled FOW and had a look around the map and nothing obviously stood out, but then it's a really BIG map and I can't see every character. Sorry if I sound like a complete novice, that's because I guess apart from playing it, I am

I got past one CTD, I just kept trying. Took about ten attempts. But now I have another some 50 years later - so I've decided to do some investigation myself.

I'm having a look at the names.txt file - what am I looking for regards problematic entries? There are foreign characters like ø and æ but would something like this be at fault?

Just in case, simply change the duplications. But my guess is that they are not from one faction. Most likely something like Egypt and Turks, Seljuk for the first warning for instance.

I went ahead and changed the three duplications - to no avail. Well, I didn't restart my campaign and I don't know if that is necessary, but I'm liking where I am in my Venetian campaign and I want to try and revive it if possible.

Well fingers crossed but so far, after changing three duplicate names in the text files and starting a fresh campaign I haven't had a single CTD. This is after 170 turns or so. Put it like this, I have played hundreds of test campaigns before and have never got as far without a CTD. Maybe I'm talking too soon, but let's hope not! Thanks for all your help guys I couldn't have done it without you.
