Icon4 I need a completly Honest answer here?

Ok after spending some time trying to trouble shoot my ETW issues, on my newly built PC Specs in Sig. I have learned I do need to get a better GPU for gaming or at least thats what I have gathered from my other posts.

Now when I built the PC I felt like I was getting some damn good Gear for my PC. But now after reading on many fourms I have posted on all I hear is how I messed up on my CPU on my GPU and various other aspects of my PC. What I need to know from someone who knows PC 's better then me is Did I waste my Money or did I really build a good Gaming PC? or did I totaly screw up?

    DO NOT GET THIS CARD!

Get the 'updated' version of it the one who has "Core 216" somewhere in its name or in the information, and its at the same price as the original GTX 260.

Im getting one myself or the GTX 280.

Its not the core clock.. ill show you.

    http://www.guru3d.com/article/evga-g...locked-review/

Its called Core 216 cause it has so many stream processors in the card.
The other one has only 192!

240 of them on the GeForce GTX 280.
216 cores on the GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 ´
192 cores on the GeForce GTX 260

Core clock only 576mhz? You should go for a radeon 4850 instead, iirc it has 600-625mhz(i forget).

You don't need it. I've got a 8800 GTS and I play it on medium just fine. Want, that's a different story and it does seem like that's the "weak" link.

I'd say your PC isn't "damn good" but it's solid and looks relatively inexpensive.

Personally I'd save up for a little bit longer and get a GTX 280 or better. Deal with the 9500 until then?

Cool, So the 280 is the popular choice. any major difference between the 260 vs 280? after what I spent on the build. I do think the 260 is more in my price range? but if we are talking about a major difference then waiting is best?

you know I have kinda looked at that as it was mentioned before. But I am really insure about ATI as I had a ATI card about 3 years ago and it was a aweful card. I have had good luck with Geforce cards up and untill this one I have now. But I am willing to look at ATI I simply want the best I can get for my 200 dollar budget. I have already spent more then I should have on this build. But hay it all good less work in the next few months to stay ahead.
