Excellent work Rhiothamus. How difficult have you found porting from IB to IBII, I mean from RTW to M2TW? I would like to learn and help somehow. Thanks for you efforts. I am still playing the excellent IB I

Thoughts:
This mod has thus far been exquisite. The merging of RTW UI and interface was so seamless, I had no idea I was clicking on the familiar RTW-style icons on the campaign map. This is the first non-EB mod for Medieval II Total War I greatly anticipate and was greatly and genuinely impressed by.
The only complaint I have is the shape of the map, particularly the rivers. They are too square.
Another question Rhiotamus. As you have along with Ramon Gonzales y Garcia have worked so good on this till now, I was thinking how are you going to deal with the sieges. I mean the buildings inside cities as they are not Roman time but mediaval one. More over you think would be possible to make a RTW to M2TW mod, i.e. all from RTW into M2TW?
For a beta release the mod was good ,the only thing that needs improvement is the behavior of units in battle. Some units were fighting only with their front line troops while the rest of their soldiers were just sitting back.
PS1.I hope you will find a way to alter sounds and voices in the complete version of the mod
PS2.Other than that the mod looks great for a beta
I am a big fan of IB and i know that the final result will be great!!!!!!
We thank you COMIS -3- ΠΑΝΙΩΝΑΡΑ,
Make sure to have the Beta Patch II downloaded. It addresses at least some of the issues. Sounds and voices will be altered eventually
This will be a process I think but sure something that will have to be done ...Please dont forget midnit. He has been relentless in helping the IB2 Mod progress with some wonderful upgraded and new units
We thank you AndariusHaliusScipio,
Nevada in the Beta Patch II did greatly improve the rivers square ridgid look

I love the varied look of the units. When I mod a unit unless its elite I shoot for 60/20/20 as far as their armor goes. 60% of the unit will have what they were supposed to have, 20% less and 20% better. I see you followed a similar rule of thumb, well except for the elites. May I also add that to Simulate soldiers upgrading or savaging their armor you add armor upgrade troop files changing the ratio to maybe 60/40 better for a maxed out armor unit.

This is incredible! Congratulations to everyone on the team, you're doing great.
First I must thank you guys for the hard work put into this mod, and for the wholesome release.
That being said, There was one thing that bothered. I am sure it has been mentioned but, I figured I would voice this conern as well.
It seems when units charge they move really slow. I click the run button and still they look like they are skating on ice. Have you guys noticed this?
OVer all I enjoyed the mod, but the slow movement of units make for some boring battles at times.

I have noticed that IB2 battles are much more laggy than in vanilla or other mods. I read somewhere here that its the large unit texture files wich make the battles lag. In future are you going to make the battles less heavy for people who have older computers? I can play with lower unit size but it would still be fun to fight large or huge battles.
Thank you!
I read the thread about the original plans for IBII.
The next release, Patch 3, do you have any plans to expand the map or add more factions? If not for Patch 3 then patch 4 or sometime in the future?
As I understand IBII includes only area of Italy, Iberia, Galia and North Africa. Are there any chances for bigger campaign in the future, I mean map in Rome for example? But still mod is very nice, I'm enjoing it very much.
I'm wondering if the original thinking on those plans still holds true. Part of it said that it would be obsolete if tried the other way, but with Empire being garbage and only a measly Napoleonic game coming up (with no RTWII in sight) I think MTW2 won't be obsolete for at least a few years.

Uuu, thanks. That's what I was looking for. How I haven't seen this?![]()
Good Job on the mod. I just cant play any battles because the game keeps on crashing in the campaign and on quick battles. Is their away to solve this. I have already downloaded the patch 2 and the problem keeps recurring. How can i solve this problem.?
