    Default Vista 64 crash fix

I don't know if this was posted over here yet, doesn't seem to work for everyone, but I couldn't go 5 turns without a CTD, I just got done playing 30 turns in a row without a single CTD after installing this hotfix. So this made the game playable for me.

    Hope it works for others:

This is probably what was happening to me! Because after I disabled 3 cores of my Quad Core, the game became much more stable for me. I'm trying this now. Wish me luck!

but is it a general vista 64 problem or a more specialised motherboad/vid card/os campatibility problem?

i'm also running on 64 without any general ctd's, before the patch, we had the nasty mem leak ctd's, and now i'm struggling with campaign ai crashes, but nothing vista 64 specific.

I hope this fix works for me, gonna try it when I get home from work. So far the furthest I have got without a crash is the year 1707! every one of my campaigns has crashed, usually much earlier than 1707 =( Very frustrating, I've liked what I've seen so far of the game but CTDs after 15mins playing really kill any kind of enjoyment.

Thanks for posting this, hopefully it will work!
