    Default [Comm RPG] Your Empire!

    Hello everyone!

    Some of you may have seen this kind of thing before in M2TW.

    Here is what is going to happen. We are going to vote on a faction, starting tomorrow. The vote will continue until next Sunday, March 22nd, 2009. At that time whichever of the MAJOR factions has the most votes, will be used in our campaign. I will start it, and do my damnedest to create a Republic or a Constitutional Monarchy. (If the country already is a Constitutional Monarch or Republic [United Provinces, Great Britain etc.] it will not be changed.)

    Now the reason I am doing that is because the way we play this game is simple: Keep the government in power.

    If enough people request it, we could use a Monarch, but IMO that would last too long and there would only be about 4 or 5 players in the 100 year span.

    If you government loses power, you pass on the save game to the next player who signs up to play! Rinse and repeat until 1800!

    So please vote for the faction you want! Any of the 12 factions is open! We are using complete and total BASE VANILLA ICE CREAM ETW FTW! (Yes that was necessary ) After voting please put the type of government you would like. You CANNOT reserve spots until we decide which faction we are using! As I said before, I will be starting.

    Rules:
    1) The campaign will be played on VH/H or VH/VH if we decide to go that route. I still haven't completely made up my mind. Feel free to input on this.
    2) It is also REQUIRED that you give a report of your governments rule, after, or during if you like, you have been removed from office. A way of us keeping track who brought us to glory, or destroyed us.
    2a) This AAR must include Treasury totals, diplomacy status (Protectorates, At War, Trade Partners, Allies), Territories lost, and gained during rule, length of rule, and any other things that I or the community feel you should include.
    3) Your government must stay in power.
    3a) As a Constitutional Monarchy you must make sure your Ministers all stay in power and do not get beat in an election.
    3b) As a Republic you must make sure your Ministers and President stay in office.
    4) The maximum time limit you can be in power for is 2 weeks. If your government has not been beaten, or if you have not said anything for two weeks, the next person will start again fromt the last save game we have before you.
    5) [My favorite rule] If, under your government, our nation is destroyed we will revert the game to the save you started on and try to change the outcome. If 5 people all fail in doing so, the game will officially end with our defeat!

    Now as the game has a week to be voted on and such, feel completely and totally free to make suggestions. I will update these rules regularly based on any discussion within the thread.

    Possible Additional Rules:
    -Individual members of the community will represent individual regions within the game. For example: If we choose to start as Prussia, we will have a representative for Brandenburg and a representative for East Prussia. Every time we conquer a region the current representatives elect a new member from the community to serve as a representative for the new region. ALSO! Any representative can call for a instant election at ANY time (However it must be 3 days after a past instant election.) If during the election the current leader of our great country is not re-elected by the community, he or she has to pass on the save game to the next person (whether or not they remain in control in the game.)
    -For the first vote of who takes control after me, IF I have not conquered any territory, I will have a vote so there are not only 2 representatives (Both voting for themselves no doubt ) And any time there is an even amount of representatives and a tie-breaker is needed, the leader of the country gets a vote, this is only if a tie-breaker is NEEDED.
    -Each new ruler can choose a new name for himself, or use the one in-game. (Althought under a Constitutional Monarchy, you will always have to choose a new name.)
    -Under no circumstances can you change the government without the express permission of the community. The representatives must give a UNANIMOUS decision in order to authorize a change in government type.

    So here is what I need to get this project approved:

    At least two people willing to be a moderator (Base # of 2 moderators; 1 more moderator will be added for every 5 members we have, after the 5 required.)
    At least five commited people here who will stay with the game (5 needed for approval, but everyone is welcome!)
