CD won't install
Hey, this is very strange. First off, on my old computer, when i put the cd into the cd drive, it immediatly rejected it. So, then I put it in the DVD drive, it worked. Come to find out after long installation, my graphics wasn't good enough. So, I am trying to install it on my new computer(2005, 250GB Hard Drive, 1GBRAM). When i put the CD in, the light comes on, and its like it's laboring over it for a loong time, and setup EXE never pops up. When i eject the cd, it says setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I try to run it using the RUN command, the file either wont, or takes a loong time to show up. Sometimes my computer freezes and I end up having to restart the whole thing.

Number one rule, never talk about burning copies, again. It is against the game's EULA and this site's Terms of Service. If you don't believe me, read them. Consider this a warning.
Now with that out of the way, it is a dvd not a cd. A few questions that will help us give you a better answer.
Exactly what are your computer specs? What processor do you have? What video card? Are you using XP or Vista? What is the make and model of your dvd reader? What other games do you have installed? How much room do you have left on your harddrive? What kind and size is your monitor?

Re: CD won't install
Understood, sorry about te bad reference. Anyway, I don't know much about processors, so I'm reading this one off the label. AMD Athelon 64 Dual-Core Processor 3800+. Also, My computer has 1GB RAM memory, and 250GB hard drive. 224 GBs are available on my hard drive. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE. I have NO other games installed on my computer, due to a system wipe and an XP reinstall. I have a 18" dell monitor.

Re: CD won't install
Your system ought to install it if your dvd reader can read it. Can you try it on another computer to see if it will install there? I am thinking if your reader is three (four?) tears old, it maybe at the end of its life.

Yeah, it did install on my older computer.(on it's DVD reader) and its an '02. Shouldn't my '05 be able to read it?

Re: CD won't install
Will your your '05 reader read other dvds? If it has trouble reading any of them, your drive could be dying.
If you can swap the '02 reader into the '05 machine and see if it works. If it does your '05 reader is bad.

Re: CD won't install
Ok, I'll try that. I can problably figure it out on my own, but I have never tried this before, so bear with me. Do I simply unscrew the drive and replace it? I DO have an open drive that contains nothing.
