    Icon11 EDB: Destroying or changing culture of "core_building" and "defense" tree

    Hi. I have a problem- I've conquered Rome (city) but it has imperial palace and uber wall built. I can't built my own version of it because it's the last stage of city developement.
    I want to redone it so I can build my faction imperial palace by either destroying current version or remake it into my faction version (unless theres any other way?).
    Is it posssible?

    I've red this guide http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=50439 but I'm not much into modding so it's not totally clear for me. There's a part in it:

    Although some modders have reported that it is the initial prefix of the temple buildings (levels) that allows these buildings to be built in the same settlement as temples, my own research shows that removing the prefix in just the tree name will bring the same result (but without having to change all the other files associated with advice, traits, ancillaries, sound etc.)

    Following this same logic we can now add the "hinterland_" prefix to building tree names to make previously destructible buildings indestructible - that is, it will disable the hammer button in the building scroll.
    I managed to make my roads, mines and farm destructible, however this caused them to appear again on city building tab- but those previously done were still on camp map^^. But its not the point.
    I still dont know what to do with core_building and defense trees- how change culture of it or make them destructible? Or just add something like "culture convertion building" that will allow me to build uber tier building again and replace previous one? Any ideas?

    BTW I did a thingy- I created 2nd core_building tree called core_building_myfactionname and removed my faction name from original tree- it allowed me to build goverment buildings again (and destructible ones) but old ones (untouchable) were still there. New tree while exact copy of original, in game lacked 1st level of developement. LOL I'm clueless of what I'm doing.

    Others would know better regarding the coding in the EDB, but I don't think you can destroy core_buildings or defenses.

    I think your solution will only make two lines of buildings, the second line having no bearing on defenses or settlement production.

    The core_building and defenses building trees have hard codes associated with them, one being that they are indestructible. And if you try replacing them with new trees, I doubt you will get very far. I know from experience that the wall levels require the defenses building tree.

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.
